When I'm not building elf houses, you can usually find me in my pottery studio. Recently, I was invited to a raku fire. I put together this whimsical snake ring jar to use as a vase. Firing raku pottery is very different from my usual kiln process. The flame is hot and the process is quick and smokey! If my raku vase turns out, I'll post the pictures in a future blog. If it doesn't...well that's the fun of raku, its totally unpredictable.
