Art Shanties 2022!

Happy to announce that I will be at Art Shanties again this year.  Last year, I was so gratified by the public's response to my on ice elf house village.  This year, we're introducing The Chapsicle of Love!  Here is a preliminary sketch:

What can you do at a Chapsicle of Love?  Get married!!!!!  In addition to being an artist, I am a Universal Life Minister.  I will be at the Chapsicle all festival performing marriages.  If you'd like more info on getting married for from email me at chapsicleoflove@gmail.com

Here is more information from the Art Shanty festival folks about all the fun at this year's upcoming festival: https://artshantyprojects.org/announcing-our-2023-artists/

The Art Shanty Projects On-Ice program will take place on Bde Unma / Lake Harriet from January 21 through February 12, 2023. Public hours are 10am – 4pm every Saturday and Sunday.

Friends for the Holidays

My favorite part of Christmas is seeing old friends.  We were delighted to find out early this morning that our Elf friend from our summer travels decided to stop by!  And he came with gifts!!!

Happy Holidays to all my friends and followers on this blog!  I hope you have a magical season - and even see an elf or two yourselves!

Time to Bring Home a Christmas Tree

When we pulled up to the Christmas Tree Farm, I spotted this little guy and had a good feeling we'd get lucky and find the perfect tree.

Turned out there were several elves at the farm!  Normally, they're pretty shy - but if you know where to look, you might get lucky.

This guy was a good hider.

This little guy was very eager to help us cut down a tree.  Elves can be very helpful (if you're polite).

In the end we found the perfect tree and got it home.  If you're looking for an elf-filled experience buying your tree, try Erickson Brothers just south of Taylor's Falls.

Chilly weather

As the wind gets colder, even the hardy elves are settling in for the winter.  I snapped this cozy picture of my own garden elf house.  Hope you like it - it fills me with a sense of warmth and peace.
